English the Ultimate Peacekeeper

Pulled this off Drudge.  The Chinese are saying their lack of proficiency in English is an obstacle to peacekeeping missions overseas.  Well duh.   And not just duh, but boohya as well.  I’ve been advocating making English the dominant global language for years (not really) mainly because I speak it,  fluently I might add, but also because it’s awesome.

  1. What is the name of the picture (or painting) at the top of your blog? And can I find it on the internet? It’s really neat, and I’d like to use it for a background 🙂

  2. Thematically, all of these comments are relevant because they are in English, but somehow, I feel as if there is something off topic here. Oh well, anyone read “Soldier Statesman Peacemaker: Leadership Lessons from George C. Marshall”, by Jack Uldrich? It’s a very good book.
